Friday- Family Day

My kids love to craft with me - when I made these earrings and necklaces they like to help pick out the bead and help put together the patterns - I becomes a great bonding time and they get to use their creativeness as well ...I have many fond memories of stringing buttons from my moms buttons bin--- I am passing that on by creating memories that will last in my kids minds forever

On this chilly Thursday I was thinking about summer time and water bottle covers -- the kids loved these they are easy to hang on the bike handle bars or sling over a shoulder and go .....

One of the things I love most about working from home is the fact  I can have the best of both worlds. I get to do things I am passionate about being here for my family and I get to crochet. Since Bruce's congestive heart failure diagnosis and even back to when he had open heart surgery he need naps and rest during the day. I can be here so when he needs to take time to regenerate the kids are covered .. Yesterday I created Mason Jar covers- I was able to give my husband a break- make supper - gave shots to our daughter who gets injections for her immune disorder . Have a detailed conversation with my son about ice fishing and assist in making home made fishing poles while I was crocheting.. I can't forget my crafting buddies my two collies who lay at my feet and occasionally inspect what I am making..  Feeling blessed

Crocheted muffs or hand warmers

I had a customer special request I make her a hand warmer- these worked up so fast and easy . They are a lot of fun to make and easy to custom make to your own personality. The strap slips over your neck and you don't have to worry about loosing like when one puts down their mittens. My daughter is forever misplacing her gloves. The hand-warmer eliminates and fingers stay toasty warm.... a great way to use up partial balls of yarn one has laying around left over from other projects.

New Start

I have always loved crafts and in the past it has been a hobby. With the new year I am taking it a step farther to making it my business. As a mom of two special needs kids and a disabled husband things get busy and there is nothing more relaxing to me then getting lost in the world of crocheting. I have been working with a friend to dedicate a part of my crafts to raising awareness of different causes. One cause is childhood cancers these kids are just beginning their lives and deserve a fighting chance and if by donating a part of my work to help aide in that fight- there is no other greater feeling. Here is one of the hats I have crocheted
